Cosmetic Surgery for Women – Women still account for 85% of all Cosmetic Surgery procedures and the most popular procedure is breast surgery; including breast reduction, breast uplift and breast augmentation.

Breast Surgery - Breast surgery is one of the most popular Cosmetic Surgery procedures available today. Whether your breasts are too large, too small or not as firm or as shapely as you would like breast surgery is one way to help make you feel more confident and feminine again.

Breast Enlargement – Breast enlargement surgery involves surgically inserting an implant behind the natural breast tissue to increase the size of the breast. Breast augmentation is a similar procedure to breast enlargement surgery but is usually conducted to create better symmetry.

Breast Enlargement/ Enhancement/ Augmentation Surgery – A small incision will be made in the crease of the underside of the breast, the armpit or lower edge of the areola. Your Cosmetic Surgeon will advise you on the most appropriate procedure for you. Once the incision is made, the Cosmetic Surgeon will create a pocket for the implant to lie in. This may be either beneath the muscle or beneath the breast tissue. Your size and shape will determine the outcome of the position of the implant and will be discussed fully at consultation with the Cosmetic Surgeon.

Breast Implants – There are currently two different types of implant available - silicone and saline. Silicone implants are widely used as they give a more natural shape and feel. Your Cosmetic Surgeon will advise you on the most appropriate implant for yourself and discuss issues specific to the implants such as capsular contracture and when you need to change the implants. The size of the implants varies with some women opting for smaller implants and some opt for big breast implants – the most come-on size is a C/D cup.

Breast Reduction – A breast reduction procedure involves reducing the amount of breast tissue whilst uplifting the breast tissue at the same time. In order to achieve the desired outcome the Cosmetic Surgeon may need to reposition the nipple and areola to give the breasts a natural appearance. Breast reduction surgery usually takes three hours to complete, depending on the size of your breast. The operation is carried out under general anesthetic, and you will need to stay in hospital for 1 or 2 nights.

Breast Uplift Surgery - Breast uplift (mastopexy) surgery can be done without significantly altering the size of your breasts, although some patients take the opportunity to have a breast enlargement at the same time.

Liposuction (Fat Removal) - Liposuction is the removal of excess fatty tissue to reshape the body. It is not designed as a treatment for obesity and people who fall into this category will need advice on diet and exercise. In women, liposuction can be carried out to most areas of the body, commonly the abdomen, hips, buttocks, inner and outer thighs, knees and double chin. New techniques can help sculpt smaller area such as the Chin and Knee Liposuction.

Liposuction Surgery - The operation is performed under a general anesthetic, or local anesthetic with sedation often as a day case, taking 1-2 hours. A very small incision is used to insert the cannula to extract the fat and sometimes this is closed with a stitch or dissolvable suture.

Tummy Tuck/ Abdominoplasty Surgery - Excess skin and fatty tissue are removed through an incision which extends across the abdomen, usually from hip to hip (across the bikini area) and the damaged abdominal muscles are repaired. A benefit of this procedure is that the entire abdominal muscle wall can be tightened, usually with permanent sutures, to give you a firmer result and flatter tummy (even if you didn't have a flat tummy previously).

Eye Bag Removal - The eye bag removal procedure will make the eyes look younger by smoothing and firming up the lids, reducing the hooded appearance and removing under-eye pouches.

Eye Bag Removal Surgery - The eye bag removal procedure is often carried out as a day case procedure where the upper and lower lids can be operated on either together or separately.

Face/Neck Lift - A face lift & neck lift involves the skilful and careful removal of excess facial skin from the neck, chin and cheek areas, under general anesthetic. The Surgeon may also tighten the underlying muscles and reposition the facial tissue.

Nose Reshaping - The size, shape and length of the nose can all be altered through a nose reshaping (rhinoplasty) operation. The scars are usually all internal and therefore not visible. If the nostrils are to be reduced, there will be minimal scarring which is well hidden in the nostril crease.
