Survey shows increasing demand for boob jobs
More UK women are choosing to increase their bust size and purchasing breast implants, according to a new study.
The figures show more women, and even some men, are choosing to undergo breast augmentation than ever before, with the number of breast enlargement surgeries increasing by 27 per cent.
“When gravity takes its toll, you’re left with boobs that really only look good in a push-up bra,” said model Jodie Marsh who underwent a breast enlargement last year.
“I’d got to a point where I was like, I want them to look like this all the time, I don’t want to have to keep pushing them up,” she said.
The report from Harley Medical Group indicated that liposuction is also on the rise. Other cosmetic surgery procedures that increased in popularity include tummy tucks, which increased by a staggering 54 per cent. The number of people choosing to have rhinoplasty rose by 40 per cent.
Men are also heading under the knife more than ever, with figures showing that men account for 17.5 per cent of all patients who undergo cosmetic surgery.
The survey is the latest report showing an increase in cosmetic surgery desires. A survey released in November found that an increasing number of women were asking for breast enlargement surgeries as Christmas gifts. The same survey also found breast augmentations to be the most popular form of cosmetic surgery in the UK.
Another report released in September noted that the number of breast enlargement operations in the UK had almost tripled over a five year span.
