The appeal of cosmetic surgery will continue to grow during 2009, amongst men as well as women.

A report from AME Info has found that male cosmetic surgery procedures are on the rise, as they have increased from 12 per cent to 17 per cent since 2005. (more…)

A new report has found that a 55 per cent of women using the internet are researching health and medical information on the web.

The results from the third annual WebWatch 2009 survey found that nine of the top 20 most popular health and medical issues researched on the internet focused on obesity, weight loss and healthy living. (more…)

While I work in the nip and tuck trade, I know that not everyone is a fan of cosmetic surgery. That’s fine – if we all liked the same things the world would be a pretty boring place after all. But the fact that some protesters have been reacting to our latest advertising campaign – featuring the lovely Claire Thornton – has really got me thinking about what exactly some people out there think about companies like the one I work for. TV star Jenny McCarthy ‘loves’ botox

Television star Jenny McCarthy has come out saying that she loves the effects Botox has had on her appearance.

Speaking to Michigan Avenue magazine, McCarthy said: “I love Botox, I absolutely love it.

Cosmetic surgery association BAAPS receives accolade

The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) has received an award for its contribution to the cosmetic surgery industry.

The BAAPS received the award for ‘Association Initiative of the Year’ at the Aesthetic Medicine Awards in London. The ceremony was held at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington earlier this month. (more…)
