The Cosmetic Surgery Market Report 2009 revealed that the cosmetic surgery industry continued to grow in 2008, despite the economic situation. The year’s end saw the estimated value of the total market (including non-surgical procedures) reach £536m, indicating a rise of 8.7 per cent. (more…)

Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has revealed that she’d like to look like Joan Rivers – one of the biggest advocates of cosmetic surgery in show business – when she gets older.

According to an interview by Scotland on Sunday, Miss Rantzen is considering standing as an independent anti-sleaze candidate to Labour encumbent Margret Moran in the Luton constituency. Billy Bob Thornton, once best known for his acting ability, has recently been drawing attention for more personal reasons as his youthful visage sparks plastic surgery rumours.

The 54 year old star, who recently incensed Canadians after dubbing them as boring, is currently at the centre of speculation concerning his youthful good looks. US soap star Lisa Rinna has revealed the plastic surgery procedures she has undergone in the past, in a frank interview on MSNBC’s Today show.

The 45-year-old actress, who has appeared in popular American soap operas Days of our Lives and Melrose Place, said she had silicone injections in her upper lip 23 years ago. However, the silicone hardened over time and Rinna has since also had steroid injections to soften her upper lip. Today, lip surgery is usually carried out through the injection of dermal fillers.
