Toy boys causing increase in cosmetic procedures

A new study by a leading UK cosmetic surgery company has revealed figures that suggest a trend for older women undergoing cosmetic procedures when dating younger men.

The study, carried out by the Harley Medical Group, found that there has been an increase in the number of 45 plus women visiting its clinics in comparison with last year’s figures. (more…)

Growing old, like growing up, might be a scary concept to just about everybody once in a while, but getting older certainly doesn’t mean giving up. Just look at some of the pop stars out there defying popular opinion and wowing us – they’ve still got it and can hold their own against budding starlets. I’m thinking of Cher for definite here – she stepped out in that teeny little black body suit that first drew gasps in back in 1992 this week despite being in her sixties. (more…)

Cosmetic surgery serves Cher well

Cher, one of the most popular female singers of the last half century, showed off her elegant cosmetic surgery enhanced body this weekend at a performance in Las Vegas.

The vocalist wore her iconic black body-suit revealing her excellent 62 year old figure. The skimpy, sequined costume first caused a stir at a concert in 1992 when Cher was 45, but her most recent outing in the body suit shows how successfully she’s been able to turn back time and maintain her youthful silhouette. Cosmetic surgery appeals to half of adults

A recent report from research group Mintel has discovered that almost half of all adults would consider undergoing cosmetic surgery.

The survey also found that tummy tucks were the most attractive procedure, particularly for mothers of young children with three out of five women in that category saying they would consider the treatment. Furthermore, mothers were overall found to be more likely to contemplate cosmetic surgery. (more…)

Dolly says Reese needs boob job to play her

Iconic singing star Dolly Parton has revealed her surprise that petite actress Reese Witherspoon is rumoured to be considered for the role of the country star in an upcoming movie about her life.

According to the Daily Express, he star, who is a self confessed big fan of cosmetic surgery, laughingly said that for Reese to play the part: “We’d have to get her a big ol’ boob job.” She then indicated that curvaceous star Scarlett Johansson may be better suited to the physical demands of the role. Botox could relieve diabetic foot pain

A new study has revealed that Botox injections could also have a beneficial effect on people with type 2 diabetes who suffer from chronic foot pain.

The research, conducted by scientists at Taipei Medical University in Taiwan, has been published in the medical journal Neurology and reveals a dramatic drop in foot pain levels for diabetic patients who received the wrinkle busting jabs. (more…)

World’s first supermodel pledges support for cosmetic surgery

American supermodel Janice Dickinson has told an Australian newspaper that she supports women who have cosmetic surgery.

The self-proclaimed “world’s first supermodel” first achieved fame in the fashion industry in the 1970s and 1980s. In recent years, she has appeared as a judge on reality TV show America’s Next Top Model, after which she launched her own reality television programme, The Janice Dickinson Modelling Agency. Cosmetic surgery is a subject that still incites controversy in the UK and there is a huge gulf between the appetites for it here and the US, where people are five times as likely to undergo treatment.
