Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has revealed that he’s undergone Botox injections to perk up his appearance.
The TV personality, who is as famous for his fiery temper as his skills in the kitchen, visited the same cosmetic surgeon favoured by friend Simon Cowell to undergo the treatment. Ugly Betty star Vanessa Williams has teamed up not-for-profit company Dress for Success and Botox-maker Allergan in order to offer career advice to disadvantaged women in the workplace.
The charity campaign, Express Success, aims to empower women in the current job market and Williams attended the launch of the drive in New York City this week. New research has revealed that men and women who fear “appearance-based rejection” are more likely to express an interest in cosmetic surgery.
The study, which appears in the June issue of Body Image, focused on the role of appearance-based rejection sensitively – meaning the tendency of certain people to expect rejection based on one’s appearance, rather than other factors. (more…)
