UK’s first cosmetic surgery magazine launched

The UK’s first magazine devoted exclusively to cosmetic surgery is being launched this week.

How-Do reports that Absolute Cosmetics is a free glossy publication produced by industry professionals, aimed at providing readers with the latest news and advice on all forms of plastic surgery, from popular treatments such as breast enlargements and liposuction to non surgical treatments such as Botox.

With so many misconceptions about cosmetic surgery in the media, the quarterly magazine aims to put the record straight, with experts providing a balanced perspective. In developing the magazine, Kelly Wilson outlined her aim as being “to demystify what has become a very confused marketplace.

“To give potential clients the knowledge to make informed decisions – this, in the end, will mean many more happy clients.”

Ms Wilson worked in pediatrics before moving to the field of cosmetic surgery, where she identified the need for patient advice and information to be more widely available. She explained: “It’s not a bandwagon I’ve suddenly jumped on, and I feel very strongly that women need to be empowered with the information to make educated choices which will achieve the goals they are looking for.”

Following an initial print run of 10,000 copies, quarterly publications are scheduled to follow in February, May and August next year. Designed to appeal to both industry professionals and curious members of the public who are considering cosmetic surgery, Absolute Cosmetics is expected to become a new coffee table fixture in salons, clinics, gyms and other public locations.
