Country music’s leading lady Dolly Parton is still dazzling crowds worldwide. With 79 albums under her belt and no intention of slowing down, the 63-year-old is still going strong and is enthusiastic about the benefits of cosmetic surgery.

Speaking to Hello! Canada magazine, the singer-songwriter explained why she is always honest about her use of cosmetic surgery treatments to help retain her natural beauty. She stated: “I do everything I can to look good. If I need Botox or a nip, tuck or suck, I’m going to get it.

“And if people ask me about plastic surgery, I don’t want to not tell. I figure it’s best to tell the truth. It’s not like it’s the kind of thing I’m promoting. And I’d like to think I made it on my talent.”

Despite achieving 25 number one singles throughout her illustrious career, Dolly is modest about her achievement, and has revealed that she does not consider herself to be a ‘star.’

She explained: “People always say, ‘How does it feel to be a star?’ And I tell them, ‘Well, I don’t know!’ I’ve never thought of myself as a star. I think of myself as a workin’ girl. And when my fans get caught up in it, I’m quick to say, ‘Hey now, look, I’m just a singer and songwriter and I’m just a country girl – so if there’s something great about me that’s God’s doing. Anything else, me and the devil did that by ourselves.’”

Dolly Parton’s new album, Dolly: Live From London, was released this week on Dolly Records.
