Cosmetic surgery: defying aging or helping nature?

When I think about cosmetic surgery I tend to think of it in two different ways, even though there are crossovers. Basically I think about cosmetic surgery as either a choice people make to help them defy the years or as a way to give nature a helping hand. Kim Woodburn has revealed that she is considering having cosmetic surgery to improve her figure.

Research says full lips make women look younger

New research has revealed that plump, full lips can make women look younger. Full lips can be artificially achieved with the help of a number of cosmetic surgery and non surgical procedures.

BBC News reports that fuller and firmer lips can help women look younger than they really are. According to the findings of Unilever scientist David Gunn, a plump pout can take years off a woman’s appearance, even if she has wrinkles or grey hairs. (more…)

Cat Deeley considers cosmetic surgery

Cat Deeley has revealed that she isn’t ruling out cosmetic surgery to hold on to her youthful looks.

The 33-year-old host of new reality show So You Think You Can Dance told OK! Magazine that she is happy with her appearance, but would consider plastic surgery further down the line, saying there is “no stigma attached” to surgery in the United States. (more…)

More than half of Americans consider cosmetic surgery

A new study has revealed that more than half of people in the United States are interested in undergoing cosmetic surgery procedures.

The study of more than 2,200 Americans was conducted by Harris Interactive for RealSelf.com at the end of 2009, and found that 54 per cent of respondents said they would have plastic surgery if they could afford it. This represents a rise of 7 per cent over the previous year. (more…)

Well, who would have known that the start to 2010 would be quite this chilly? The snow has been incredible across the UK. Beautiful, yes, especially over the holidays – but it’s a bit more problematic when it comes to getting to work in the morning! Luckily I’ve not had too many problems with travel, although I’ve probably had a few more lattes and hot chocolates than I really should have in the last few weeks…. (more…)

New TV show dedicated to cosmetic surgery

A new TV show being launched in Ireland will explore the world of cosmetic surgery, with some treatments being carried out live in the studio.

Caroline Morahan, star of Off the Rails, will present the new six-part series, titled The Cosmetic Surgery Show: What a Load of Botox. Caroline will be joined by celebrity plastic surgeon Dr Robert Rey, star of Dr 90210. (more…)
