1 in 10 parents willing to pay for teen cosmetic surgery

Research by the Good Surgeon Guide has shown that up to 1 in 10 parents would be willing to pay for their teenage children, aged 16-18, to undergo cosmetic surgery in the hopes that cosmetic treatments would help to boost their child’s self esteem and confidence. (more…)

Arlene Phillips admits having Botox

The BBC sparked public outrage when they replaced former Strictly Come Dancing judge, Arlene Phillips, with younger model Alesha Dixon, 31, in a move that has seen Arlene described by the Daily Mail as the poster girl for anti-ageism in television.

However, speaking to New magazine, Arlene has revealed that simply being on television has made her worry about her lines and wrinkles enough to turn to non surgical solutions such as Botox. (more…)

Alex Reid contemplates laser hair removal

STV Entertainment News has reported that Celebrity Big Brother winner, Alex Reid, is planning to turn to a non surgical solution after revealing that he would like to have a smoother torso.

Cage-fighter Alex is said to be keen to have laser hair removal on his chest, arms and legs, following a consultation at The Harley Medical Group’s Brighton Clinic.

American men follow British trend for moob reduction

New reports show that a growing number of American and British men are turning to cosmetic surgery in order to boost their confidence and to reduce the appearance ‘man boobs’.

Recently disclosed figures have shown that British men have become increasingly concerned about ‘man boobs’, also known as ‘moobs’. With the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) revealing that 2009 saw an increase of 80 per cent of British men turning to male chest reduction surgery in order to shake off the social embarrassment of having ‘moobs’. X Factor cosmetic surgery fans Sharon and Dannii at loggerheads

Past X Factor judges Sharon Osbourne and Dannii Minogue are currently at loggerheads again, following the publication of an extract from Dannii’s new autobiography.

Titled Dannii: My Story, the book details the feud that emerged between the two cosmetic surgery fans during their time on the hit TV show. Dannii alleged that Sharon ruined her first night on the show and that the difficulties between the stars continued throughout the whole series. (more…)

Pop legend Cher still has what it takes to dazzle audiences, after the 64-year-old caused a stir when baring her firm and tattooed rear in a revealing outfit at last weekend’s MTV VMA awards.

The ‘Believe’ singer, who has also had a successful career in Hollywood, is clearly not content to lead a shy and retiring life away from the limelight, even into her 60s. Many have suspected that Cher’s lasting looks are the result of cosmetic surgery, including treatments such as face lifts helping her to hold back the years. (more…)
