Reality television star insures breasts for $1m

100097441Holly Madison, star of hit US reality television show The Girls Next Door, has reportedly insured her breasts for $1m.

Using the internationally renowned insurance firm Lloyd’s of London, the 5’5” model, who made her name starring alongside playboy founder Hugh Hefner, has taken out a policy which covers her against loss of earnings for up to a cool $1m should anything happens to her breasts.

Heartbroken women console themselves with cosmetic treatments

55915054Heartbroken women spend an average of £500 following a split with a partner, a new survey has shown.

Researchers commissioned to carry out the survey by Superdrug found that women spend money on treatments and new clothes to boost their mood after being dumped. Haircuts and colouring, new shoes, clothes, spray tans, gym memberships and manicures are among the top items and treatments that women splash out on.

Bikini pictures spark rumours of boob job for Nicole Richie

The 30-year-old, who celebrated her birthday on September 21, was photographed last weekend relaxing on holiday in Mexico with friends including the actress and musician Juliette Lewis and British DJ Samantha Ronson.

An increasing number of people are opting to go abroad to have operations carried out, a trend that has been labelled medical tourism. But professionals are warning that trusting a doctor who may not be properly certified could lead to complications during and after the operation.

Liposuction could reduce the risk of heart disease, says study

CardiologyLiposuction could not only remove excess fat from the body but it could also reduce the risk of heart disease.

This is according to a new study presented by researchers at The American Society of Plastic Surgeons’ (ASPS) annual conference, held in Denver, USA.  Research also found that in 2010, more than 200,000 Americans opted for liposuction surgery, making it the fourth-most popular cosmetic surgery procedure.

Scottish surgeons join forces against cosmetic cowboys

According to a report by the Scottish Sun, the 10 experts decided to come together and formed Confidence Cosmetic Surgery due to the number of stories of patients suffering problems during and after surgery.
