Women adopting ‘less is more’ approach to breast implants
This is according to plastic surgeon Dr Joseph Castellano, who specialises in breast augmentations in Tampa, Florida.
He claimed that instead of making their breasts as big as possible, women now want to ensure they look natural and are going for more subtle changes when they go under the knife.
Dr Castellano believes part of the reason for this is that people do not want to advertise the fact they’ve had work done and would prefer to look as though their breasts are natural.
“Breast augmentation isn’t just about cup size anymore. Women are learning that the implant type, shape and placement counts just as much, if not more, toward their overall aesthetic as does volume,” the expert continued.
There has also been an increase in the number of people who are undergoing surgery revision to remove larger implants and have more subtle alternatives inserted.
