One in 30 British women will have cosmetic surgery in old age

A recent study entitled ‘Retirement Nation’ has revealed that one in 30 women in or near retirement age would consider having cosmetic surgery to remove the signs of ageing.

MGM Advantage, a financial body dedicated to providing its customers with creative retirement solutions, surveyed more than 3000 British residents in three key age groups: those already retired, people within ten years of retirement, and those ten years from retirement. (more…)

A new website dedicated to shedding light on the anti-ageing sector of the beauty industry has been launched this week. Wrinkle-Wrinkle.com aims to monitor and review products and treatments on the market, as well as encourage consumers to conduct sufficient research before embarking on procedures such as cosmetic surgery. New European conference on anti-ageing and aesthetic surgery launched

Following the success of similar events in the US, the American Academy of Anti-Ageing Medicine (A4M) has launched a European Congress on Anti-Ageing and Aesthetic Medicine (ECAAAM) for September.

The conference, which will take place in Dusseldorf, Germany, is expected to attract cosmetic surgeons from across the continent to discuss the burgeoning demand for anti-ageing surgery and medicine.

Over 90 international experts in anti-ageing and aesthetic procedures will speak at ECAAAM, and professionals will also be given the chance to exhibit their treatments to the delegates. (more…)
