Demand for breast enlargement in the US city of Los Angeles has risen over the summer, according to a plastic surgeon from the area.

Dr Grant Stevens said that it was probably as a result of warm weather, which leads to thoughts of summer activities and thus of looking as good as possible in swimwear.

“Many women choose to come to LA from out of town because it allows them to travel and explore Los Angeles during the summer,” said Stevens.

“It’s exciting for them because they are getting the figure they’ve always wanted and getting to vacation in such an interesting and lively city as Los Angeles.

“After surgery, one of the most satisfying aspects of surgery for them is being out there on the beach, feeling confident in their swimsuits.”

Dr Stevens noted that many patients combine their breast augmentation surgery with breast lift procedures, especially mothers who have lost some shape and volume as a result of pregnancy or breast feeding.

British actress Lucy Benjamin, best known for playing Lisa Fowler in the BBC soap Eastenders, has said she is keen to undergo more surgical and non-surgical treatments.

The 41-year-old has been photographed for this week’s edition of Closer magazine showing off her newly toned body. Looking stunning in a blue bikini, Lucy said she found it “quick and easy” to lose weight after starting a diet and exercise regime following the birth of her second daughter in April.

Audrina Patridge, the American reality television personality, has denied having cosmetic surgery.

There has been speculation from some commentators that the TV star has undergone breast enhancement surgery. They say the celebrity’s bust has increased in size since filming for MTV show The Hills began in 2006.

Patridge said she often gets asked whether she has had cosmetic surgery, partly because of her co-star in The Hills, Heidi Montag, who has admitted having several procedures carried out.

American singer and actress Jessica Simpson is said to be thinking about undergoing surgery to reduce the size of her DD breasts.

According to reports, the 31-year-old is unhappy with the size of her chest and would like to have breast reduction surgery performed ahead of her wedding to American footballer Eric Johnson, which is said to be slated for this November.

Celebrity Big Brother housemate Amy Childs has admitted on air that she used to wear up to five chicken fillet bra inserts in her bra before she got a boob job.

The 21-year-old, who made a name for herself by appearing in the first and current series of ITV2’s reality television show The Only Way is Essex, has never made a secret of the fact that she has had breast enlargement surgery. She is said to have boosted her cup size to a D.

More women are opting for minimal incision breast augmentation in a bid to keep any scars to a minimum and still look good on the beach.

This is according to American plastic surgeon Milind K Ambe MD, of Newport Beach Plastic Surgery Clinic, who says that he is more than happy to help his patients get the breasts they want without restricting what they can wear on the beach.

Amy Childs, cast member of ITV2’s reality television show The Only Way is Essex (TOWIE), has said that she may want another boob job ahead of her rumoured appearance on the upcoming series of Celebrity Big Brother.

Childs, who has already had breast enlargement surgery, told Now! magazine that she feels her figure is too straight up and down and wants to regain the curves she had in the second series of TOWIE.

A new website has launched which allows patients to see what their bodies will look like after breast augmentation.

Sculptmydream.com uses 3D photography to allow those considering the plastic surgery procedure to preview the results before they decide whether or not to go through with it. As well as offering the preview service, the website will also list cosmetic surgeons that specialise in breast enlargement surgery.

A couple from Warrington, Cheshire, have bucked wedding traditions and asked guests to stump up cash for the bride’s boob job.

Louise Hampson, 33, and her husband Les, 24, asked their 200 guests to contribute to a cosmetic surgery fund to pay for the blushing bride to have her 32D boobs enlarged to 32DD. The breast enlargement procedure cost her friends and family £2,000 and Mrs Hampson told Love It! Magazine that she’s eternally grateful.

“’My wonderful wedding guests have given me the greatest boost to my married life – new boobs for the blushing bride!” she said.

The happy couple’s wedding invitation explained to guests that they already had ‘a kettle and toaster, crockery, dinner mats and matching coasters’ and said instead that they ‘would really appreciate money for Louise’s boob job pot’.
