Cheryl Cole vehemently denies boob job

Wednesday, May 18th, 2011

Pop star turned television presenter Cheryl Cole has been forced to deny rumours that she has had a boob job.

Conjecture about Cole’s figure began this week when the 27-year-old was spotted with a much perkier looking bust than usual, as she jogged around the streets of Los Angeles. Cosmetic surgery experts have speculated that she has either had breast implants or had help from a “good gel bra”.

Plastic surgeon Dr Dirk Kremer said: “Cheryl’s boobs look very different now. Despite being hidden under a work-out top, you can see how rounded and full they seem.”

“To mimic this look, she would have to be wearing a good gel bra.”

A spokesperson for the star told the Metro newspaper that “Cheryl has not had breast surgery and has made it clear in several interviews she has never had work done.”

Cole yesterday posed for photographers alongside fellow US X Factor judges Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul. She looked uncomfortable and out of place next to the pair, who were flirting outrageously for the cameras ahead of filming for the new show.

iPhone app predicts results of boob jobs

Tuesday, May 10th, 2011

An iPhone app has been created that allows those considering breast implants to see what they would look like with bigger breasts.

The iAugment app has been created by Elizabeth A. Kinsley, a plastic surgeon from New Orleans, and is free to download, making it easier and quicker than ever for women to get an idea of the difference breast enlargement surgery could make. But experts warn that this should be used as a bit of fun and should not replace the need for thorough pre-surgery consultations with a qualified surgeon.

Users can take a picture of themselves – makers say pictures taken in a bra or bikini top work best – and virtually enhance their bust by up to three cup sizes.

Creator Dr Kinsley said: “Breast augmentation can be a complicated procedure with women asking questions like “what will they look like?” or “what size is right for me”.

“This is designed to give them the best idea possible of how they might look after surgery. You can show your friends, your boyfriend or your husband and say “what do you think?’” She added.

iAugment has already received more than 7,000 ratings since it was launched in Apple’s App Store.

Star magazine fuels rumours of boob job for Beyonce

Thursday, May 5th, 2011

Celebrity magazine Star has reignited speculation that Beyonce has undergone breast enlargement surgery.

The 28-year-old pop singer and sensation has been the subject of such rumours before, once in 2005 again in 2006 and then again in 2009, but has managed to stay out of the spotlight on cosmetic surgery tittle-tattle between then and now.

Boob job rumours began when Beyonce was photographed at the LA premiere of hit film Dreamgirls, wearing a dress that seemed to reveal a scar on her breast. And thanks to her tight-fitting outfits, there is no shortage of alleged ‘before’ and ‘after’ photographs that seem to show her with larger, more pert breasts.

The May issue of the magazine runs with the story on the front page, alongside rumours that Jennifer Aniston is pregnant and that Prince Harry and Pippa Middleton are the next big thing.

Concern over number of teens undergoing plastic surgery

Monday, March 14th, 2011

An increasing number of youngsters in the US are having cosmetic surgery procedures, according to industry figures.

New York-based plastic surgeon, Dr Frederick N Lukash, said almost 300,000 teenagers underwent cosmetic surgery procedures in 2008, and the practice is becoming more widespread. Dr Lukash said a decision on whether surgery is appropriate depends on factors such as the reasons involved and an understanding of the potential risks.

Speaking to Florida’s Sun Sentinel news website, psychotherapist Fran Sherman said she was concerned about the trend.

She said: “Plastic surgery for teens is becoming mainstream, and it’s scary. Do I believe plastic surgery is a bad thing? No. But 16-year-olds don’t need breast enhancement surgery.”

Research conducted by the Good Surgeon Guide at the end of last year found that one in 10 parents would be willing to pay for a child aged between 16 and 18 to undergo a cosmetic surgery procedure such as breast surgery, in a bid to boost their confidence and self-esteem.

Male model would consider boob job for Victoria’s Secret

Monday, March 7th, 2011

So-called “femiman” model Andrej Pejic has revealed that he would consider having a boob job to win a contract with American lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret.

Pejic, who appeared on the Paris catwalks last week and caused somewhat of a stir, broke the news in an interview with The Daily Telegraph, saying: “If this is what it takes to have a career in this industry, then why not?

“You know, if I was offered a Victoria’s Secret contract, well, you’d have to, wouldn’t you? I couldn’t imagine doing it any other way.”

The Australian model’s androgynous look is popular with haute couture designer Jean Paul Gaultier and Pejic has also recently been involved in the spring collection campaign for Marc Jacobs. As the intrigue that surrounds him intensifies, the model is getting more and more interest from magazines, and he has made several appearances in recent issues of i-D magazine and Vogue Paris.

Cameron Diaz saves up for boob job in latest film

Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011

This summer will see the release of Bad Teacher, a film starring Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake, in which Diaz decides to become good at her job so she can save up for a boob job.

In the comedy, Diaz plays a foul-mouthed high school teacher who hates her job and so spends her time getting drunk. After being dumped by her fiancé and sugar daddy, she decides to woo a colleague (Timberlake) who, needless to say, isn’t short of cash either. But the moves see her put in direct competition with a well-loved teacher in a plot that is bound to be hilarious.

In real life Diaz has reportedly had a nose job (rhinoplasty) to correct breathing problems, having broken her nose several times. However, in June last year she told Vogue that while she hadn’t undergone any cosmetic surgery so far, it is not something she would rule out in the future.

Importance of understanding volume addition in cosmetic surgery

Thursday, February 17th, 2011

The focus of this year’s annual Baker Gordon Educational Symposium, held in Miami, America, was ‘The Transformational Effects of Volume Addition in Aesthetic Surgery’.

The conference, now in its 45th year, was attended by consultant plastic surgeon Dr Ralph Garramone, who runs a practice in Fort Myers, Florida.

In an interview conducted following the conference, Dr Garramone said: “The importance of providing volume restoration to patients seeking rejuvenation of the face and body by using injectable fillers or body fat was emphasised at this important three-day meeting.”

He added: “In the future there will be a greater understanding of the role of stem cells to enhance rejuvenation and restoration.”

As well as placing emphasis on the importance of dermal fillers to plump-up the skin on the face, Dr Garramone also advocated the increased use of short surgical incisions when performing face lifts and breast augmentation to achieve natural-looking results.

Kerry Katona wants breast implants

Wednesday, January 12th, 2011

Ex-Atomic Kitten turned reality television star Kerry Katona has revealed that she would like to have more breast enlargement surgery.

In her column for OK! Magazine, Katona wrote: “I think they’re a good look. I’ve had implants before and am actually considering getting some again because I’ve lost that much weight.

“I think men prefer women to be more natural but I wouldn’t be doing it for any man, I’d be doing it for me”.

When asked about the same subject in an interview with New! Magazine, the 30-year-old mum of four said: “I take my bra off and trip over my nipples! Well, maybe not that bad.

“I want to have a boob job, so maybe this year. I don’t want to go any bigger. I’ve had four kids and they’re just a bit saggy. I want them filled out again”.

Katona has said that Victoria Beckham’s recent confessions about her own cosmetic surgery inspired her to consider undergoing further procedures.

Boob job for Girls Aloud’s Sarah Harding?

Thursday, December 23rd, 2010

Sarah Harding, of top pop act Girls Aloud, has ignited rumours about a possible boob job following the appearance of pictures showing her with a bigger bust than usual.

The photos were snapped as the singer was enjoying a recent night out in Mayfair and her tight black dress has sent a number of tongues wagging, reports Peace FM Online. Rumours are not unprovoked however, as earlier this year Sarah admitted she wouldn’t rule out a boob job. The star said: “My boobs aren’t too bad but they fluctuate. And it’s not like they just suddenly shrink and stay really pert either – sometimes you need something to refill them a bit. So yes, I’d definitely consider it.” (more…)
