Women in Saudi Arabia are increasingly turning to cosmetic surgery, one of the country’s leading plastic surgeons has said.

In an interview with The Saudi Gazette, Dr Ayman Farhat, a consultant plastic surgeon working in Saudi Arabia, said: “The most common beauty procedures that Saudi women are scheduling are liposuction, plastic surgery on the nose, Botox injections and fillers, and hair removal by laser. Men also seek treatment, mainly for plastic surgery and reshaping of the nose, hair implants, and liposuction.”

A lookalike of Katie Price, aka Jordan has surprised those closest to her by revealing her plans to have breast reduction surgery.

Lisa Lund has 38EE breasts and despite wanting to emulate Price’s trademark looks, she has made it clear that she would like her large breasts to be reduced to a more modest D-cup.

Lund told the Metro: “They’re really heavy so I’m getting a boob reduction next year. I want to go down to a D.”

The 25-year-old from Runcorn, Cheshire, is not alone in wanting the surgery – breast reduction is said to be the procedure that produces the most satisfactory results according to patients. The majority of women who undergo the treatment rejoice in freedom of movement, reduced back and neck pain and the opportunity to wear the clothes and swimwear they want to.

Lund has already had Botox injections and dermal fillers to plump up her lips and admits that keeping up with her idol is like a full-time job.

US soap star Lisa Rinna has revealed the plastic surgery procedures she has undergone in the past, in a frank interview on MSNBC’s Today show.

The 45-year-old actress, who has appeared in popular American soap operas Days of our Lives and Melrose Place, said she had silicone injections in her upper lip 23 years ago. However, the silicone hardened over time and Rinna has since also had steroid injections to soften her upper lip. Today, lip surgery is usually carried out through the injection of dermal fillers. British actress Amanda Holden has revealed that she’s planning to undergo new cosmetic surgery procedures in an effort to preserve her youthfulness.

According to The Mirror, the Britain’s Got Talent judge said: “I’ll go under the knife in due course. I’ll have my eyelids lifted and probably have half a facelift under my chin.” (more…)
