Shopping malls in Malaysia have been enjoying a year-end boost to sales of skincare products, despite tough economic conditions.
In a report published by The Star online, a Malaysian news site, two major department stores in the country have reported good growth for the days following Christmas, particularly for skincare products, fashion and accessories.
Joyce Yap, chief executive officer (retail) of Pavilion KL, one of the department stores, said: “There doesn’t seem to be any sign of a slowdown in the traffic of shoppers at our mall. It is even busier this year compared to last year.”
