Hollywood actress Demi Moore has admitted that she has battled with her body for decades, and is only now learning to love it.
The 49-year-old mother of three revealed that she has had to learn that her body is not an enemy that she needs to starve or exercise to death.
In an interview published in the Harper’s Bazaar February issue, Moore talked openly about her self-confidence and how this has changed with age.
The daughter of American actress Demi Moore has been photographed with her mother, who could easily have been mistaken for her sister.
The pair were spotted wearing very similar white and camel outfits, and with long, shiny brown hair, during Brazilian fashion week. The other guests could be forgiven for thinking they were sisters, not mother and daughter.
Demi, and 16-year-old daughter Tallulah Belle, looked the same age despite being 32 years apart, as they sat next to each other in the front row of a catwalk show for Brazilian designer Colcci, in which Demi’s husband Ashton Kutcher was modelling.
The 48-year-old has admitted to undergoing numerous cosmetic surgery procedures in the past, and is reported to have had liposuction on her hips, thighs, and stomach, as well as breast implants.
In an interview with Elle magazine last year, Demi said: “I had an extreme obsession with my body. The irony is that when I abandoned that desire to dominate my body, it became the body that I’d
always wanted”.
Demi Moore has denied rumours that she has had plastic surgery but says that she is not against it.
The 48-year-old actress looked young, fresh-faced and completely wrinkle-free as she waved to fans and photographers at the premiere of No Strings Attached, her husband’s, 32-year-old Ashton Kutcher, new film.
The latest pictures of Moore’s flawless complexion and toned figure have once again sparked rumours that the actress has undergone a number of cosmetic surgery procedures, including liposuction and Botox, to keep herself looking young.
When asked about rumours that she had had £200,000 worth of cosmetic surgery in an interview with Marie Claire, Moore said: “It’s completely false, I’ve never had it done. But I would never judge those who have. If it’s the best thing for them, then I don’t see a problem”.
Perhaps the secret to Moore’s youthful looks is being married to a man 16 years her junior.
Rumour has it that actress Rumer Willis has been subtly altering and refining her look with a selection of cosmetic surgery treatments.
