Recent reports have suggested that X Factor panellist and music mogul Louis Walsh may be set to join his fellow judges and choose cosmetic surgery to improve his looks.
According to The Sun, the Irishman is considering surgery to remove his wrinkles following the urgings of X Factor creator Simon Cowell. Simon has apparently advised the 57 year old to have blepharoplasty – a treatment to remove the bags under his eyes. (more…)

Older women are increasingly turning to rejuvenation treatments amid fears that they face being replaced by younger colleagues, a report suggested yesterday.
Soaring numbers of women over 55 plan to invest in non-surgical facial procedures such as chemical peels and Botox in what researchers call the Arlene Effect. (more…)

The number of men seeking cosmetic surgery is on the up, according to new statistics from the Harley Medical Group.
In the last 12 months, the number of males choosing to undergo a male plastic surgery procedure has increased by 26 per cent. The survey of over 15,000 patients also revealed that the groups most likely to go under the knife include city workers, civil servants and men who work in politics, law and accountancy. (more…)

Joan Rivers, comedian and straight-talking cosmetic surgery icon, has just announced a four-night live stand-up act in New York, shortly after releasing a pair of new books.
Ms Rivers’ new books straddle two sides of the writing divide: in February 2009, she released the fictional story Murder at the Academy Awards: A Red Carpet Mystery; and in December last year, her non-fiction account hit the shelves, entitled Men Are Stupid… And They Like Big Boobs: A Woman’s Guide to Beauty Through Plastic Surgery. It appears that popular performer Tom Jones has embraced an image change that has him accepting his looks and age.
The performer, previously renowned for wearing tight trousers and dying his hair to mask his aging looks, has now decided to ditch the hair dye and clothes to embrace his natural appearance. (more…)

An Irish newspaper has reported a recent boom in the number of men seeking cosmetic surgery to remove bags from under their eyes in the country.
A Harley Medical clinic in Belfast claims that men now account for one-third of all their eye bag removal procedures. They added that men visiting their clinic often say they are attempting to keep ahead of their younger colleagues in an increasingly competitive job market. (more…)

Allergan, the company behind Botox, has won approval to sell a new product that lengthens eyelashes.
The non-surgical cosmetic treatment, dubbed Latisseā¢, has been created to treat a condition called hypotrichosis – when a person has fewer than the normal amount of eyelashes – but is also likely to appeal to people who desire thicker, more lustrous lashes. (more…)

Infamous American country singer Kenny Rogers has been talking about the numerous cosmetic surgery procedures he has undergone in order to look younger.
Speaking to the National Inquirer, the 70-year-old claimed that he wanted to use surgery to turn back the clock after marrying a younger woman in 1997. (more…)
