High intensity light could have Botox-like effects

Scientists in Germany have been researching the effects that high intensity light could have on smoothing over facial wrinkles.

The complete results of the study are expected to be published in early November, but reports are circulating that light emitting diodes (LEDs) could have Botox-like effects. (more…)

Give us a smile, or at least get rid of that frown

If there’s one piece of small talk that gets on my nerves, it’s when people ask me to give them a smile. I mean, I like to think of myself as a pretty up-beat person and I think that’s reflected in my general appearance. But you can’t smile all the time can you? In fact, sometimes I find myself frowning a little more than I’d like to – as do many of my friends – and a furrowed brow is not the look I’m going for. (more…)

Success of Botox drives innovations in the facial rejuvenation market

The worldwide success of Botox as a facial rejuvenation treatment has led to an escalation in research and development from competitors in the line and wrinkle treatment sector of the cosmetic surgery industry, according to a new report.
