Reality television star Kim Kardashian may have undergone a cosmetic procedure to ensure she looked her best ahead of a big party last night, it has been suggested.
The 31-year-old was photographed leaving a salon yesterday with what appeared to be red, blotchy skin, ahead of an appearance at the Valentino 50th Anniversary Party. And while the clinic she was photographed leaving specialises in Botox injections as one of its services, industry experts have said there is no suggestion that the celebrity had any injections. Instead, she may have had medical microdermabrasion, a non-surgical treatment used to smooth the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

The results of a small study could give hope to people suffering with depression.
Ten clinically depressed patients who had not responded to traditional treatments such as medication and counselling were offered Botox injections to paralyse the facial muscles which allow a person to frown.
According to Sonja Lyumbomirsky, author of The How of Happiness, nine out of the ten patients were no longer considered to be depressed. The patients were all women and those who saw positive results did so after just two months of having the non-surgical treatment, often used for cosmetic reasons.

Botox and surgical procedures including tummy tucks are topping the list of many people’s wish lists this Christmas.
Surgeons in Orange County, America, have noted a rise in the number of patients opting for non-surgical treatments and surgical procedures in the run-up to Christmas. One such example is Tina Franklin, a resident in Orange County, who has put Botox on her Christmas list because she wants to start the New Year feeling ‘fresh’.
Ms Franklin’s older sister Nicole Tuzzolino obliged her sister’s request and paid $650 (£415) for the treatment.

Madonna has announced that despite looking half her age she has ditched her reliance on Botox and other cosmetic treatments.
The 53-year-old pop superstar was photographed looking fresh-faced while judging a dance contest in New York. She chose to wear black leather hotpants, lace-up over the knee boots and fishnet tights – adding to her “young” image.
The singer, whose new single is yet to be released but which has been leaked online, reportedly told a friend that she was worried about looking like a “freak” if she continued to have Botox injections.
