New scientific studies have discovered that not only can yo-yo dieting increase the chances of stretch marks and saggy skin, but could also encourage dieters to comfort eat.
According to a report in The Telegraph, repeatedly losing and gaining weight could reprogram the way the brain deals with stressful situations and this could make people more likely to crave food at these times. (more…)

A growing number of women are finding that life certainly doesn’t end at 60 and are more than happy to shout about their experiences.
According to a feature in the Daily Mail, single ladies in their sixties are finding it easier to have fun than ever before – thanks to improved attitudes and opportunities for more mature women.

Surgeons have highlighted the dangers of using Do It Yourself Botox kits and are encouraging people to turn away from online injectable kits.
While widely available on the internet, many DIY Botox or filler kits can pose significant dangers to the user – even if they have experience with injectables. The mail order products have been appearing for sale since 2008 and warnings have surrounded them ever since. (more…)

The various benefits of Botox have been known for some time, but only recently has the Food and Drug Administration of the United States approved the toxin as a way to control migraines.
The injectable, perhaps best known for its wrinkle-reducing properties, had been long suggested by headache experts as a way of relieving symptoms. However, the use was not made official and, in the early days, researchers had not conducted the medical trials and scientific information to make it so. (more…)

The BBC sparked public outrage when they replaced former Strictly Come Dancing judge, Arlene Phillips, with younger model Alesha Dixon, 31, in a move that has seen Arlene described by the Daily Mail as the poster girl for anti-ageism in television.
However, speaking to New magazine, Arlene has revealed that simply being on television has made her worry about her lines and wrinkles enough to turn to non surgical solutions such as Botox. (more…)

STV Entertainment News has reported that Celebrity Big Brother winner, Alex Reid, is planning to turn to a non surgical solution after revealing that he would like to have a smoother torso.
Cage-fighter Alex is said to be keen to have laser hair removal on his chest, arms and legs, following a consultation at The Harley Medical Group’s Brighton Clinic.

The infamous Simon Cowell has revealed his candid views of the popular non surgical solution to wrinkles, Botox.
The music mogul, who is now better known for his roles behind the judge’s desk on talent shows such as the X Factor and American Idol, told Post magazine that he was such a fan of the wrinkle relaxing injections that he was sometimes surprised by the appearance of wrinkles on his co-stars. (more…)
