Actress Dianna Agron, better known as Quinn Fabray in hit television series Glee, has told a chat show host that she underwent nose reshaping surgery.
Agron, 25, told The Late Show with David Letterman that she had the plastic surgery procedure after breaking her nose twice in the last few years – once in the first year of college, and more recently while on tour with the cast and crew of Glee.
America reality television star Vienna Girardi has made her first public appearance since having nose reshaping surgery.
The 25-year-old, who made a name for herself after appearing on reality dating show The Bachelor in America, had the cosmetic surgery earlier this month in Houston, Texas. The socialite and reality television star, who is half American and half Armenian, told reporters that she wanted cosmetic surgery on her nose but her surgeon refused on the grounds that it wasn’t necessary.
Nose jobs are on the rise among those from different ethnic backgrounds, according to the president-elect of The Rhinoplasty Society.
Dr Rod Rohrich has noticed a shift in the reasons behind those from non-Caucasian ancestry enquiring about rhinoplasty, or nose reshaping surgery.
“It’s becoming more accepted for people who have noses with pronounced ethnic characteristics to opt for surgical refinement that helps them blend into American society better, as well as correcting individual facial deviations that make them stand out uncomfortably,” said Dr Rohrich.
“Every patient is different, but more patients than ever want to preserve ethnic characteristics while correcting individual facial features. Patients with non-Caucasian ancestry used to ask for Caucasian-type noses, which usually resulted in an over-operated and unnatural look,” he added.
He made his observations at a symposium on the subject of ethnic rhinoplasty at the annual meeting of The Rhinoplasty Society, at which he encouraged fellow cosmetic surgeons to prepare for this increase. He advised careful study of Caucasian and ethnic nose shapes, bone structure and skin type in order to offer patients the most appropriate procedure.
Reality television star Heidi Montag has decided not to have any more cosmetic surgery now, but she is adamant that things might change as she gets older.
At a Hollywood party last night, the 24-year-old told US Weekly magazine: “For this moment I don’t want anything to do with plastic surgery!”
But she went on to add: “Obviously when I get a little older, I’ll take it from there.”

Last month, the pop star told Out magazine that she was excited about turning 30 this year and that “when it’s time to pull and tuck, I’m sure I will consider it”.
Experts have suggested that the singer has already had liposuction surgery, a tummy tuck, dermal lip fillers, breast implants and further surgery to replace the original implants with smaller ones.
She is also rumoured to have had a nose job early on in her career, but surgeons suggest that because she was already in the limelight and didn’t want the press to notice, she chose to go for a smaller version of her natural nose, rather than to change the shape of it completely.
