Popstar Kylie Minogue has admitted she’s had cosmetic surgery in order to delay the signs of aging.
The songstress said she had Botox injections to ensure that her face remains wrinkle-free. The 40-year-old Australian also hinted that she may have chosen to undergo other cosmetic procedures.
According to the List, Minogue told Elle magazine: “I’m definitely not one of those people who says, ‘You shouldn’t do this.’ Everyone individually can do what they want. I also think it doesn’t have the stigma that it had when I was growing up. (more…)

Joan Rivers, comedian and straight-talking cosmetic surgery icon, has just announced a four-night live stand-up act in New York, shortly after releasing a pair of new books.
Ms Rivers’ new books straddle two sides of the writing divide: in February 2009, she released the fictional story Murder at the Academy Awards: A Red Carpet Mystery; and in December last year, her non-fiction account hit the shelves, entitled Men Are Stupid… And They Like Big Boobs: A Woman’s Guide to Beauty Through Plastic Surgery. New numbers have shown that breast augmentations have come out on top of American cosmetic surgery trends in 2008.
Breast surgery eclipsed liposuction as the procedure of choice for American women last year. The survey from the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery found that many women are now choosing to exercise in order to get rid of excess fat. (more…)

Each year, Hollywood’s biggest stars walk down the red carpet at the Academy Awards, showing off their dresses and, for some, their cosmetic surgery.
Celebrity-it-couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were both nominated in the best actress and best actor category. New research has indicated that the cosmetic surgery market is defying the global economic downturn, as business booms thanks to Brits that want to invest in their looks through cosmetic surgery procedures.
The figures released by the Harley Medical Group have found that the cosmetic surgery industry saw a 26 per cent growth rate year-on-year. (more…)

Cosmetic surgery patients in the UK are turning towards their favourite celebrities for inspiration when it comes to choosing the best surgery procedures.

More UK women are choosing to increase their bust size and purchasing breast implants, according to a new study.
The figures show more women, and even some men, are choosing to undergo breast augmentation than ever before, with the number of breast enlargement surgeries increasing by 27 per cent.
“When gravity takes its toll, you’re left with boobs that really only look good in a push-up bra,” said model Jodie Marsh who underwent a breast enlargement last year. (more…)
