It turns out that there may be some truth in the idea that your sleeping habits impact the way your face ages. Last night’s Top Gear saw a guest appearance from Louis Walsh and a surprise topic of conversation – Botox.
In the light-hearted interview with host Jeremy Clarkson, Walsh confirmed that music mogul Simon Cowell had indeed bought the X Factor judges Botox vouchers for Christmas. The admission drew incredulous looks from Clarkson and laughs from the crowd when Walsh revealed that he hadn’t used them.
Music mogul Simon Cowell returned to Britain’s screens at the weekend in all the pomp and glory one has come to expect.
He emerged onto the Britain’s Got Talent stage through a cloud of smoke wearing a classic grey suit and white shirt, both unbuttoned almost to the waist revealing a honed chest. But it was his face that gave him the ‘X Factor’ and sparked rumours that he has had Botox injections and possibly dermal fillers to plump up his cheeks and lips.
Arriving to the Superman theme tune and to rapturous applause from the live audience, the 51-year-old certainly looked younger than his years. His smoothed out face gave away little of the stresses he is rumoured to be facing over the recent sacking of Cheryl Cole from the US version of The X Factor, and her absence from the judging of the UK version too.
Britain’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan has called Simon Cowell vain and says he’s not as vain as him.
In an interview with Parade magazine, Morgan said: “I’m not as vain as him, physically. He has all these treatments and Botox and all. I don’t do that kind of thing”.
He admitted that they have both got “big egos” but insisted that his former boss and fellow judge on the ITV talent show was more concerned with his appearance.
Morgan is known for taking care of himself and for being concerned with the way he looks, and while he admits that this is true, he has denied cosmetic surgery rumours.
When asked whether he’d had Botox in an interview with The Times Magazine last week, Morgan said: “Everyone thinks I have because apparently my forehead is quite unlined. But I’ve never had it. My mother would kill me.”
Music mogul Simon Cowell certainly isn’t shy about his love of Botox and cosmetic surgery, or sharing his opinions when it comes to potential surgery for his friends.
The star of the X Factor is reported to have given his fellow judges £3,000 worth of Botox vouchers as thank you gifts at the conclusion of the successful show. (more…)
