It may not be quite warm enough to get into shorts yet, but it’s lovely to see a little sun in the sky. It’s amazing how much of a difference some sunshine can make to the way you’re feeling isn’t it? The nice weather has reminded that, contrary to what I may have thought a couple of weeks ago, summer is really on its way – and that means it’s time to start preparing for the skimpy summer clothes and holiday outfits that will be coming our way. More British women are turning to skin peels as an affordable cosmetic surgery treatment in the recession.
The Press Association reports that skin peels are now more popular than face lifts among patients looking to hold back the years, with the number of chemical peel treatments tripling in 2009 compared to the previous year. (more…)

Older women are increasingly turning to rejuvenation treatments amid fears that they face being replaced by younger colleagues, a report suggested yesterday.

A couple of weeks ago, I blogged about how full my schedule has been recently – and it doesn’t look as though it’s set to calm down any time soon! But I shouldn’t be complaining, because not only am I busy doing lots of things I love – like going to the gym with my friend who’s getting married and the rest of the bridesmaids (yes, she asked me to be a bridesmaid too!) – but we’ve even had some gorgeous weather recently. The Bespoke Peel
The new-to-the-UK Obagi Blue Chemical Peel uses a special blue dye that allows a dermatologist to see how deeply the peel sinks into a patients skin, before deciding how much solution is needed. ‘Most peels have a “one size fits all” element to them, meaning that everybody – regardless of their age and skin sensitivity – has the same amount of solution applied’, says Lisa Littlehales from The Harley Medical Group. ‘But the Obagi Blue Chemical Peel is much more bespoke.’ (more…)
