Research warns that herbal remedies could complicate cosmetic surgery
Friday, January 16th, 2009New research has shown that cosmetic surgery patients who take anti-depressants or herbal remedies before some cosmetic surgery procedures could be putting their health at risk.
Published by Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the research shows that patients should not use herbal remedies and supplements for up to a fortnight before surgery. Taking these herbal remedies before surgery could lead to adverse reactions to the anaesthesia during the surgery. (more…)
