Following thread vein removal treatment
Lasers and IPL can be used to remove thread veins on the face, body and legs. Laser treatments will remove fine and large thread veins quickly and effectively. Two or three sessions is usually all that is needed to leave your skin feeling smooth and blemish-free. This is a non invasive treatment for veins 1-3 mm in size. We generally recommend on average 5 treatments.
Sclerotherapy is also effective in thread vein removal - this is a relatively simple non surgical treatment which only takes 30-40 mins. A very fine needle is used to inject a solution into the vein, which causes it to perish and, over a course of treatments, disappear completely. A treatment session takes approximately 30-40 minutes. The number of treatment sessions depends on the method used and how many areas need to be treated but we generally recommend on average 4 treatments.
Make-up can be applied directly folllowing a face treatment and you can return straight to your normal routine after each treatment session.
How long will thread vein removal treatments last?
How long thread vein removal treatment lasts varies from person to person. In most cases the same veins will not reoccur, but new veins can appear in other areas of your body which might require treatment. For lasers and IPL (Intense Pulse Light) treatments, we normally recommend on average 5 sessions to leave your skin feeling smooth and blemish-free. For sclerotherapy, the number of treatment sessions depends on how many areas need to be treated, we normally recommend on average 4 treatments.
