When we were 16, my best friend Laura was tiny with huge boobs. All the fit lads ogled her, while I got their ugly mates. I was a size 14, with a belly that stuck out further than my tortilla-flat chest.

I was really self-conscious. Even when I discovered the gym and shrunk to a size 8, I looked boyish, not womanly. On the beach, men stared at curvy girls with their breasts jiggling - and ignored me. The only movement in my cleavage was the wind ruffling my baggy bikini top.

I'd always talked about getting a boob job. Then last year, I got chatting to a bloke in a bar. When I said I was a B-cup he laughed. I felt so humiliated, I came home and told my boyfriend Tony I was having the op. He thought I was mad. But I was fed up feeling jealous every time I saw a girl with boobs. So last year, I took out a loan and paid £4k for surgery. I wasn't scared, I couldn't wait.

Coming round after the op, all I could think about was seeing my cleavage. But when the bandages came off the next day, my boobs looked hideous - like two tennis balls with stretched nipples. They were meant to be a C-cup but they'd swollen to over a D. When Tony saw them he made a face like, "What do you want me to do with those?" I was terrified I'd made a huge mistake...

It took two months for the swelling to reduce. But, thank God, my boobs looked less "porno" over time. Now I love them.
