Situated just outside the city centre in Manchester, it is conveniently located for patients living in the North and Midlands. The hospital has great transport links for car, train and bus routes. With train stations and bus stops no more than a 10 minute walk away from the hospital it is easily accessible to its patients and visitors.

The Pines hospital has 2 fully equipped operating theatres. 16 of the 22 beds are private, all with en-suite and flatscreen digital+ TV, as well as free WiFi and a restaurant kitchen with a full-time catering team. Patients can be sure to relax and recover in peace and with everything that they would need provided by our highly experienced nursing team.

Weymouth Street Hospital has an in-house pharmacy and 4 fully equipped theatres to provide excellent surgical and non surgical procedures. There are two NCP car parks located at Welbeck Street and Harley Street, and two Q-Park Indoor Underground Car Parks located at Queen Anne Mews and Cavendish Square.

In order to maintain our high standards of care, the number of visitors permitted to accompany a patient are restricted to one only.  The purpose of this is to ensure that a quiet, safe and relaxed environment is maintained at all times.

All visitors must sign in at the Reception desk and wear the pass provided.  This is a safety requirement of the hospital and visitors not displaying their pass will be approached by staff. There is also a handy café available on site for visitors to use.

From Bond Street cross Oxford Street and head down James Street until you reach Wigmore Street. Turn left and take the third street on the left into Welbeck Street.

 

By Train

  • The nearest main line stations are Marylebone, Charing Cross and Euston.
  • Closest  tube  stations  are  Bond  Street  (0.4km)  Oxford  Circus  (0,6km)  Regents  Park (0.8km)

  • Parking meters: There are also a limited number of parking meters available along Welbeck Street and the surrounding area. Meters are paid for hourly and maximum parking is either 2 or 4hrs. This is from 08.30AM to 18.30.

The in-patient bedrooms include en-suite rooms, television, telephone and a choice of menus at mealtimes. The rooms also have piped oxygen, suction and nurse-call alarms. Situated in its own grounds and surrounded by greenery, patients can have a quiet and relaxed experience at the hospital.

By Car

We are located north of Preston off the A6 in a semi-rural, private location.

Junction 32 of the M6 or Junction 1 of the M55 is the required exit for the A6 northbound (signposted to Garstang).

D’urton Lane is just 50 metres north of the roundabout (on the right hand side).

Turn right into D’urton Lane from the A6 and travel approximately 800 metres to just before D’urton Lane passes underneath the motorway.

Do not pass under the motorway.

Just a few metres before the motorway bridge, turn left into the private access road to the First Trust Hospital.  This is identified by a sign set back from D’urton Lane.  Keep to the left.

The car park is on the left.  The hospital entrance is in front of you.

The hospital is surrounded by mature trees and vegetation and it is impossible to see from the road.  The access road is partly obscured by a cottage on the west corner.  Access is however immediately before D’urton Lane passes beneath the motorway.

By Car

If you are travelling from the North, leave the motorway and follow the signs for A49 Newton-le-Willows (3rd exit), and after about 3/4 mile at the roundabout, take the 2nd exit. Pall Mall Medical is located on your right hand side, approximately 3/4 mile along Crow Lane East.

From the South, leave the motorway, and then take the first exit on to A49 Newton-le-Willows.

Exit the M6 at Junction 23, exit the roundabout onto Lodge Lane which becomes Ashton Rd. Turn right onto Crow Lane East, at the 2nd set of traffic lights turn right onto Belvedere Road. You will then see the clinic on your left hand side.


Parking Facilities

Our purpose built diagnostic and surgical centre has a large and free car park, which is at the rear of the building.


By Train 

The nearest train station is Earlestown, which is approximately a 10 minute walk away. Exit the station and turn right onto Railway St, then take an immediate left onto King Street. At the end of the road take a right onto Bridge Street, which becomes Cross Lane. At the end of Cross Lane the clinic will be across the junction to your left.

There is another train station slightly further away called Newton-le-Willows.

One can also travel to Wigan, Warrington or St Helens, all of which are a 15 minute taxi journey from the clinic.
