Post-Summer Exercise Tips To Boost Your Skin

Now that summer is gone, you may be left wondering what will happen to your skin.

Now that summer is gone, you may be left wondering what will happen to your skin. It’s a common fact that central heating and cold wind can leave you with sore, irritated and flaky skin, no matter how much you moisturise. There is however some exercises which you can do to help improve your circulation, which in turn will give your skin a healthy post-summer glow. Read on to find out more.

Indoor Cycling

In addition to keeping you fit and healthy, cycling indoors, for example on an exercise bike or at a spinning class, will help get that blood pumping around your body, boosting collagen production which helps to keep those premature wrinkles at bay for longer.

Running is an ideal exercise for keeping your heart healthy, while working every muscle in your body. You don’t have to use a boring old treadmill though – simply running up and down the stairs as fast as you can for five minutes will improve your circulation, and the rush of oxygen to your muscles will give you a more even skin tone and glowing skin.

Squats, Sit Ups and Press Ups

If you’re tired of waking up with puffy skin around your eyes, do a few squats, sit ups and press ups in the morning. Working out first thing helps your lymphatic system to get to work, which results in less water retention, improving the appearance of dark circles and puffy eyes.

Did you know that sweat can also help to fight off Acne? Remember to rinse your skin after any exercise though to prevent your pores from becoming clogged.
