A new survey has highlighted just how much importance women place on getting rid of, or avoiding, dark bags and puffiness under their eyes. According to research carried out by Clinique, more than half of the 13,000 women it interviewed said dark circles were their number one pet hate when it came to beauty issues. Thankfully however, there are a number of surgical and non-surgical solutions available.Facial plastic surgery resource FaceForum says there are a number of ways to banish dark circles and tackle a poor complexion. They include the use of skin lightening creams, injectables such as Juvederm, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments, laser treatments and eyelid surgery, also known as Blepharoplasty. A statement by FaceForum stressed the importance of researching the various options available before deciding on a treatment. It said: "Getting rid of dark under eye circles may be a challenge for young and old but between cosmetic products and treatments there are solutions to the problem. "FaceForum encourages those with dark under eye circles to be informed of their options so that they have realistic expectations and make confident decisions when seeking treatment."
