'Angry' faces perfect for non-surgical lifts

People with forehead wrinkles, frown lines and sagging eyebrows that give them an 'angry' appearance might well benefit from a non-surgical facelift. That's according to American cosmetic surgery expert Dr Anita Mandal, who says there are a number of non-surgical treatment options available to people who want to raise their eyebrows and give themselves a more youthful look.Botox, often used in the fight against facial lines and wrinkles, can be used to elevate the eyebrows, helping to smooth and refresh the area around the eyes. If required, injectable fillers can help to boost the effect. Dr Mandal, who is based at the Jupiter Medical Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, said that for a more permanent solution, patients may wish to consider eyebrow transplants (ETs). She said: "ETs are similar to hair transplants but increase the density of brow hairs that are lost with age and over-plucking. "ETs can also enhance the brow's shape, making it more arched or higher, resulting in the eyes appearing more open and the upper face more youthful."
