Anti-Ageing tips for your 30s through to your 70s

26 February 2015

With age comes the onset of wrinkles, the loss of elasticity and reduced volume – but there are solutions to help you defy age and leave you with a more youthful-looking complexion. The issue is, how do you know whether you’ve reached the age where said treatments are appropriate? We’ve rounded up the best Anti-Ageing solutions according to your age.

  • 30s

Your wrinkles may only just be noticeable but that doesn’t mean you want to see them every time you look in the mirror. Skin Peels are an effective means of sloughing away dead skin cells, leaving behind healthy, clear-looking skin in its place. Line & Wrinkle treatment can be used to reduce the appearance of early signs of ageing.

  • 40s

By the time you reach your forties, you may find your wrinkles are a little more noticeable. It’s common for wrinkles to appear in the form of frown lines and for those on your forehead and around your eyes to deepen.  Dermal Fillers can be used to help correct lines around the mouth, while Laser treatments can leave skin looking clear and smooth. Those suffering from baggy eyelids may be ideal candidates for Blepharoplasty (Eye Bag Removal surgery).

  • 50s

Dermal Fillers are an effective means of replacing lost volume in the face during your fifties, while many patients can benefit from a Mini-Facelift to leave a natural-looking appearance.

  • 60s

When you get to your sixties, turning back the clock is generally a case of Cosmetic Surgery if you’re looking for a more permanent solution. Dermal Fillers are not as effective and require topping up every three to four months, making Cosmetic Surgery a more cost-effective solution. Traditional Facelifts and Blepharoplasty surgery may be recommended.

  • 70s and above

It’s important to remember that any Cosmetic Surgery should still leave you looking like you. Undertaking a Facelift at this age should have the effect of enhancing your appearance rather than dramatically reducing your age. Remember to do your research and choose a Cosmetic Surgeon who specialises in your chosen area.
