Singing star Liz McClarnon has spoken about her newfound love of Botox - not just to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, but also to combat sweating. Liz told ITV show This Morning: "Do you want to know a little secret? I got some [Botox] the other day! It was amazing!"I actually got some in my armpits to stop me sweating for filming my new series and I went 'oh just pop a bit in my forehead as well' and it's absolutely brilliant. And it's for me. I've told everybody!" Liz is one of many people, men and women, who are choosing to have the botulinum injections in their armpits to stop excessive sweating in the hot summer. Colloquially referred to as 'Sweatox,' the localised injections target the sweat glands in certain areas of the body to stop them producing excess levels of sweat. A spokesperson for a Botox website explained: "Some models on photoshoots use it because they don't want to sweat so much. Then it's much more effective than an anti-perspirant. "Other people who have a medical condition, hyperhidrosis, use it and it can last about six months." The 29-year-old star, and former winner of Celebrity Masterchef, is not the only former Atomic Kitten to embrace cosmetic surgery. Her former bandmate Kerry Katona recently revealed she is considering another boob job to take her back to a 30GG cup.
