27 April 2015

Your sun protection worries could soon be over thanks to a brand new high-tech wristband on sale at SpaceNK. The June wristband is the creation of French company Netatmo and contains hundreds of UVA and UVB sensors, designed to measure your exposure to the sun in real time.

The data collected is transmitted to an app on your smartphone to give you personalised recommendations to up your sun protection, based on factors such as the weather forecast, your skin type and the UV index.

You’ll be given a daily sun allowance. Exceed this allowance and you’ll be issued with a sunburn warning. You’ll also receive regular notifications each day to remind you about staying protected in the sun.

SpaceNK’s Catherine Jolivet said: “By allowing women to better understand their environment, how it affects their skin and how to act to enhance their beauty routine, June by Netatmo represents the future of beauty.”
