Seventies icon Debbie Harry has aged more gracefully than her contemporaries thanks to the benefits of cosmetic surgery. The 64 year old Blondie singer has always been open in her support of cosmetic surgery procedures to keep her youthful looks, stating in an interview with the Mail on Sunday: "I'm pro-surgery. Anything you can do to make yourself look better is fine." Debbie stunned crowds earlier this year when revealing her new youthful image at New York's Bower Ballroom. The singer still dyes her famous platinum blonde hair, and underwent a facelift several years ago, stating: "Everybody knows that I've had plastic surgery. I did it for business reasons. "You photograph better, and looks are a key part of being an entertainer, so I felt it was something I had to do. All sorts of horrific things happen in life - why make it worse by worrying about getting older? Do some charity work, or learn a new skill instead." As well as continuing to tour with Blondie, Debbie Harry has made a name for herself in the acting world, with many film and theatre roles under her belt. Cosmetic surgery has aided her immensely in continuing her entertainment career well into her sixties, and she continues to be a popular name in television in independent film, recently featuring in 'Elegy' and psychological thriller 'Anamorph.' Debbie is currently wowing crowds on a US tour with Blondie. The comeback tour began in July and ends in Arizona on September 1.
