Breast Surgery numbers rise but Breast Augmentations are getting smaller

Breast Surgery is more popular than ever, with record numbers of women opting for the Cosmetic Surgery procedure every year. A new trend has emerged in Britain with those undergoing Breast Augmentation opting for smaller changes to achieve an athletic ‘gym body’.

10 years ago, the average breast size requested by women undergoing Breast Augmentation was an F cup; nowadays, that’s shrunk to a C.

A recent survey has also revealed that British women of today are more interested in ‘sideboob’ rather than front cleavage, which has led to a change in the shape of implants used.

Women in Edinburgh and Cornwall are requesting the smallest increase in breast size, opting for a C cup on average; while women from Hull are still preferring bigger Breast Augmentation – requesting one-cup size larger on average than counterparts.

With the change in breast size comes a change in the celebrity role models women choose when requesting their ‘perfect’ breasts. Pamela Anderson was the favourite among women undergoing Breast Augmentation in 2006, while Kendall Jenner is being commonly cited this year as the celebrity woman with the ‘most enviable’ breasts.
