Each year, Hollywood's biggest stars walk down the red carpet at the Academy Awards, showing off their dresses and, for some, their cosmetic surgery. Celebrity-it-couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were both nominated in the best actress and best actor category. In the past, cosmetic surgeons have speculated that the couple has embraced non-surgical cosmetic procedures, with many believing Jolie has chosen to have Botox and Pitt dermal fillers. In addition, tween stars Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron were also in attendance. Experts believe that Hudgens has had a breast augmentation, while Efron has gone under the knife for a rhinoplasty. Dirty Dancing star Jennifer Grey made a comeback on the red carpet this year, wearing a stunning dress and showing off her toned body. Grey is known for a previous rhinoplasty that left her looking quite different, and she has continued to have cosmetic procedures, including a facelift and facial fillers. Industry website Make Me Heal also reports that best supporting actress winner Penelope Cruz has openly undergone non-surgical treatments in the past, including lip injections. In the weeks leading up to the event, cosmetic surgeons in Hollywood noted that they had seen an increase in the number of requests for non-surgical cosmetic treatments before the ceremonies. Members of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) noted that it wasn't just celebrities lining up for the treatments either, as crew members of nominated movies were also planning to look their best for the event. Michael McGuire, a cosmetic surgeon, said in a release at the time: "I believe cosmetic medical care will always experience some upswing during awards season."
