A new technique for nasal tip surgery, which has proved successful in 100 German patients, has been described in an influential medical journal. Medical Express has outlined how invasive and minimally invasive techniques can be combined to help patients who wish to have the tip of their nose reshaped.Of the 100 patients treated at the University Hospital in Regensburg, southern Germany, 92 were completely satisfied with the results, and only a further four asked for follow-up procedures to eliminate minor irregularities. "Few patients were not satisfied with the feel to touch and softness of the nose (two after 12 months)", the research found. The authors of the research paper say that their work "does not claim to designate a new operation. It rather presents a combination of established techniques that form - to our knowledge - in some regards a novel concept to approach and correct the nasal tip."
