Cosmetic surgery fans set sights on Big Brother
08 June 2010Iconic TV series Big Brother has a long history with cosmetic surgery, with housemates wanting to look their best in front of the cameras and former winners such as Sophie Reade planning boob jobs with their prize money. With the show's final series about to kick off tomorrow night, more hopefuls who have used cosmetic surgery treatments to improve their appearance will be competing for places in the famous house.Plastic surgery has already been an area of discussion among this year's contenders, largely due to cosmetic queen Sarah Burge - who claims to have had £500,000 worth of cosmetic surgery. However, Sarah is not the only prospective housemate who has gone under the knife to improve areas of their body they were not happy with. 25-year-old Nav, from Glasgow, told the Daily Record he had two nose jobs at age 21 and 24 as he had "a real hook", and was bullied for his appearance. He also revealed that he may not be popular with other housemates due to his laziness, saying: "I'm very lazy when it comes to house chores" and revealing that his mother is "my maid, my servant and cleaner." Another Scot hoping to enter the house is 23-year-old model and Miss Britain finalist Emma Blythe, of East Kilbride. Emma entered modelling after getting advice from glamour model Michelle Marsh, explaining: "I decided to go for it as it could open a lot of doors for me." Although Emma has not revealed whether her looks have been enhanced with cosmetic surgery, her newfound fame may open more doors for her in the modelling business if she makes it as a Big Brother housemate.
