Cosmetic surgery giving, and getting, a little lift

Cosmetic procedures which offer patients a little lift are becoming increasingly popular. This is according to 2011 statistics recently released by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, which showed that the number of some such procedures carried out had increased by nearly 600 per cent in the last decade. Breast lift surgery, butt lift, thigh lift and other cosmetic procedures designed to rejuvenate areas of the body that can sag with age, have become increasingly popular in America, the UK and across the world. The increase in bariatric (weight loss) surgery is thought to be a contributing factor to the increase in procedures which lift and tighten areas where the skin has stretched beyond capacity or lost elasticity due to age or illness.
