Cosmetic surgery helped Jane Fonda 'feel like herself' again
Multi-talented creative powerhouse Jane Fonda isn't taking her seventies slowly - the star is making a comeback, and a little cosmetic surgery has helped boost her confidence too. While Jane decided to make a pact against cosmetic procedures back in 2000, she says she eventually became tired of looking in the mirror and not recognising herself. She's since admitted to having work done on her chin, neck and eyes. Appearing on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Jane said: "I look more like how I feel. I'm glad I did it."iVillage also reports the star explained that perfectionism was not her aim when it came to plastic surgery. In fact, she said that letting go of "a toxic desire to try and be perfect" in various aspects of her life was the key to her happinessJane first announced her surgery choices back in February, when she said she'd had eye bag removal as well as treatments to reduce the appearance of wrinkles on her face and neck. However, the sassy star revealed the truth in a typically tongue-in-cheek way, when she told the Daily Express: “I just had some work done on my chin and neck and had the bags taken away from under my eyes so I decided it would be a good idea to get a new haircut so people will think it’s my new hair.” The actress, who is now 72 tried to retire back in the early 90s, but hit the big screen again in 2005 with Monster in Law. She's also dedicated much of her time to political activism throughout the years.
