Daring décolletage â the extreme cleavage trend inspires a wave of anti-ageing Cosmetic Treatments
27 July 2015
We’re used to seeing our favourite celebrities in a daring hem line. Whether it’s a super-short skirt or an on-trend cut out, the red carpet is full of designs that flash a little flesh.
The latest look loved by A-Listers is no exception. ‘Extreme cleavage’ sees famous faces sporting a plunging neck-line displaying (depending on how brave the celeb) everything from the décolletage to the navel – and their glowing complexions have inspired a surge in ordinary women seeking out Cosmetic Treatments for their chest and neck.
The décolletage is often one of the first areas women notice signs of their skin ageing. This is because, like the face, the area is often exposed to the elements and constantly pulling and twisting as we speak, chew and move. Unlike the face however, we often neglect of neck and chest as part of our skin care routines, so the skin there is left unprotected, meaning it ages quickly.
To emulate the extreme cleavage look, women are turning to several rejuvenating treatments:
- Dermaroller – this micro needling treatment stimulates the skin’s natural healing process, boosting collagen production to reveal smoother, brighter, younger-looking skin.
- Obagi Blue Skin Peel – sometimes referred to as the ‘Smurf Peel’ because of the temporary blue tint it gives the skin, the peel effectively revitalises an ageing complexion by applying a low concentration Trichloroacetic Acid which removes the outer layers of skin.
- Medical Microdermabrasion – this deep exfoliating treatment also removes the top layer of skin by spraying medical grade crystals that gently buff away dead skin cells revealing a smoother, younger-looking complexion.
