The Charlie’s Angels star was chosen ahead of Michelle Obama, Helen Mirren and Oprah Winfrey in a survey of 1,300 women carried out by fashion website MyCelebrityFashion.Although she claims she has never had any cosmetic surgery to her face, the 50-year-old once spent a reported £220,000 on a full surgical makeover. It was also rumoured that Moore employed a team of advisers, including a nutritionist, personal trainer, yoga teacher and kick-boxing coach, to keep her in top condition. Last year, Moore found herself at the centre of controversy after supposedly Photoshopped pictures of her appeared in an advertising campaign for skincare brand Helena Rubinstein. Olivia Newton John was voted second in the MyCelebrityFashion poll while Helen Mirren came third. Of all the women polled, 78 per cent said the worried about the way ageing affected the way they look – 69 per cent went on to admit the unusually slow way in which celebrities age inspires and drives their beauty regimes. The most common response to what women do to fight the signs of ageing was ‘a bit of moisturiser’.
