The online site, which focuses on gathering up-to-date news and information from across the web, found that the two cosmetic surgery terms were being searched for extensively by users across the world. Of ‘elderly plastic surgery’, Time said: “A recent New York Times article profiled the ‘many septuagenarians, octogenarians and even nonagenarians who are burnishing their golden years with help from the plastic surgeon’.”Time went on to explain that the decision over whether to carry out surgery on patients aged 65 or more was based on a person’s physiological age rather than their numerical age. The so-called ‘mummy makeover’ was also identified as trending online. Time described the phenomenon as: “What some call a post-pregnancy package in which the woman gets liposuction, breast surgery and a tummy tuck”.
