Expert discusses different wrinkle-busting solutions

Wrinkles and fine lines are all a natural part of the ageing process â but the good news is, you donât have to live with them. With a wide variety of treatments available to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and to leave you with younger, healthier looking skin, Baltimore-based Dr. David Zachary Martin explains the different options.
Dermal Fillers are recommended for replacing lost volume and sagging, which can occur in older patients. This treatment is effective on wrinkles such as smile lines around the nose and mouth, while Botox is advised to treat frown lines between the eyes.
When it comes to scars, the doctor explains that treatment can be a little more challenging than for lines and wrinkles as âscarred tissue does not accept fillers as readily as uninjured tissue.â While your specialist will choose the most appropriate treatment depending on your needs, the doctor maintains that suitable patients are those who have âreasonable expectation, who are in good health and are interested on softening facial creases and wrinkles.â
