Film actress embraces Botox – but rails at ageist producers
02 May 2013Avatar star Zoe Saldana says she would "absolutely" use Botox in the future. Just as her latest film, the new Star Trek: Into Darkness is about to premiere in London, actress Zoe Saldana has spoken about her willingness to follow other well-known stars and use Botox. "Botox. Absolutely!" she told Indianexpress.com."It scares me that there are so many women unhappy with themselves, ashamed of themselves, of aging, of being who they are," Saldana added. "The only reason they're hiding it is because they're afraid of rejection and judgement. "You can judge me all you want, I'm OK with myself," Saldana said. She also voiced her frustration at film-makers' continued tendency to opt for younger actresses when casting most roles. "Women are reminded of their age all the time and it's usually by a fat, big-bellied old man with a comb-over and you look at him and you're like, 'Really? Give me a break. You just have more money and more power in this situation than I do, but not in my life'," she said.
