Girl bands - feisty, fun and fabulous
13 January 2009I've been reading rumours about Atomic Kitten getting back together with all three original members as well as Jenny Frost, who replaced Kerry Katona in 2001 when the star fell pregnant, and I have to say I'm quite excited about the idea. Partly just because with all the traumas Kerry has been going through in the press recently it'll be great to see her doing what she does best. Kerry's had some kinder headlines in the last little while too, she's looking fabulous these days after all. She decided to have liposuction and a breast reduction after the birth of her fourth child - and there have been rumours that she's taking her New Year's resolutions seriously this year as she's been spotted working out and looking svelte. If Atomic Kitten do stage a comeback, it could be inspired by the success of the big sisters of girl bands - the Spice Girls. Their short-lived reunion last year saw them play 47 sold out shows, and the girls all looked great. While Victoria is probably most famous for her cosmetic surgeries - she's a fan of wrinkle-relaxing injections and had reportedly had three breast augmentations - there have been a number of rumours concerning the busts of Geri Halliwell and Mel B too. They might also want to enjoy a little of the same kind of success that Girls Aloud continue to see. The band seems to go from strength to strength and with Cheryl Cole's appearance on the X-Factor they're sure to carry on doing well for themselves. Hmm, I think I might have to make myself a new feisty playlist for my iPod - with all my favourite girl bands from the past and present!
