Since Angelina Jolie gave birth to twins earlier this month, speculation has been rife that the A-list celebrity may have undergone a tummy tuck in order to nip in her post-pregnancy figure.

'Mommy tucks', as they have colloquially become known, have gained popularity with many Hollywood stars attempting to eliminate their baby bumps at a faster rate.

Shortly after Angelina appeared on the red carpet sporting her smaller stomach, an insider is reported to have told Star magazine: "She doesn't like to talk about it or admit it but Angie told some friends she had a 'mommy tuck'. She likes the way that sounds better than tummy tuck."

However, the 33-year-old has made no official statement regarding the report and some plastic surgeons believe that her small post-pregnancy figure may be due to her naturally slim physique, rather than cosmetic surgery.

According to celebrity plastic surgery news site, Make Me Heal, one surgeon said: "Do I think she's had a tummy tuck? I doubt it but that's just my hunch. It takes a couple of weeks to recover from the surgery, and I would think that the paparazzi would obtain actual proof that she had work done."

A full 'mommy makeover' - the term now given to a series of cosmetic surgery procedures often chosen by women after pregnancy - would also include a breast lift, breast augmentation or breast reduction, and liposuction.

Angelina's 43-year-old partner, Brad Pitt, has also been the subject of cosmetic surgery rumours. Last year, reports circulated that Brad may have undergone eye bag removal to eliminate puffy under-eye circles, and could also have received wrinkle relaxing injections (Botox).
